Landau transmitter on the Isar

The Landau an der Isar transmitter was a facility of the Bavarian Broadcasting Corporation to broadcast a radio program on the medium wave frequency 1602  kHz with a transmission power of 20  kW near Landau an der Isar , which went into operation in 1950 and was only operated at night. He used a 108-meter-high transmission mast as a transmitting antenna and was located at 48 ° 42 ′ 34 ″ N, 12 ° 42 ′ 4 ″ E , where a building complex called "Sendehaus" still exists today. The Landau an der Isar transmitter was shut down in 1969.

This transmitter has a modern successor at 48 ° 39 ′ 44 ″ N, 12 ° 42 ′ 0 ″ E , which broadcasts Radio Trausnitz's program with 320 W on the frequency 105.5 MHz and whose transmitting antennas are mounted on a free-standing concrete tower.
