Senji Kuroi
Senji Kuroi ( Japanese 黒 井 千 次 , Kuroi Senji , aka: Osabe Shunjirō ( 長 部 舜二郎 ); * May 28, 1932 ) is a Japanese writer.
Kuroi studied economics at the University of Tokyo . He first worked as a salaryman and then as an author. In 1968 he was nominated for the Akutagawa Prize . The novel Jinkan was published the following year . For Gunsei he received the Tanizaki Jun'ichirō Prize in 1984 . He was awarded the 1994 Yomiuri Literature Prize for Kāten kōru and the 2006 Noma Literature Prize for Ichijitsu yume no satsu . He is president of the Japanese Writers' Association and was a member of the selection committee for the Akutagawa Prize.
