Senožeče (German Senosetsch , Italian Senosècchia , also Senozec ) is a village in the Slovenian municipality Divača in the karst area of Primorska (coastal region).

The place is 553 m above sea level and has 611 inhabitants (2002). The parish church is dedicated to St. Bartholomew and belongs to the diocese of Koper . In the Middle Ages Senosetsch, originally a fief of the Patriarchate of Aquileia , was owned by the Lords of Duino (Tybein); these were inherited by the Walseers around 1399 . In 1470/72 Reinprecht, the last Walseer, sold Senosetsch with Castell and Maut along with other goods to the Habsburg Emperor Friedrich III.

In 1869 a district court was installed here.
