The Serbski powědar a kurěr (contemporary spelling Sserßki Powedar a Kurier , "Sorbian narrator and courier") was a newspaper in the Sorbian language , which appeared from 1809 to 1812. The newspaper was published by the Sorbian carpenter Jan Bohuchwał Dejka (1779-1853). According to Dejka, the aim of the newspaper was to convey the information to the Sorbian people .

The newspaper dealt with current political issues, but also information on working and living.

Since he received little support, Dejka had to stop the publication of the newspaper. He then devoted himself again to German-language journalism and edited the Oberlausitzer Landbote from 1813 to 1837 .
