Serdar Dogan

Serdar Dogan (* 1978 in Imranli , Turkey ) is a German filmmaker (director, screenwriter, cameraman, film editor, producer) of Turkish descent.

Serdar Dogan (born 1978 in Imranli, Turkey) grew up in Mühlacker in Baden-Württemberg . After graduating from high school, he studied media technology in Ilmenau and then trained as a media designer for image and sound at DW-TV in Berlin. He then worked as a cameraman and editor. In 2013 he founded his own company Sidekick Pictures.

Serdar Dogan already acted during school and at university and occasionally took on small roles in short films. He also played guitar in various rock bands and was about to embark on a professional musician career, but eventually gave priority to life for the film.

In 2010 Serdar Dogan shot his first feature film "Kopfkino" with friends in just eleven days, which was shown in several cinemas in 2011. His second cinema film project, The 8th Continent , was made in 2013/14 and was shot in locations all over the world despite the mini-budget. He was able to win over Cosma Shiva Hagen , Thomas Scharff , Viktoria Brams , Joris Gratwohl and Thomas Eikmeier , among others . Serdar Dogan wrote the script for it and took over camera, direction, production and editing. The film was shown in cinemas all over Germany in 2015.

Serdar Dogan released his new film "Ich, Judas" for Reformation Day 2017 . It is a theater film adaptation with Ben Becker .
