Sergio Botana
Luis Sergio Botana Arancet (born November 8, 1964 ) is a Uruguayan economist and politician .
Botana, father of three children named Paula, Manuel and Nico, is a member of the Partido Nacional and there representative of the wing of the Alianza Nacional . He is a lecturer at the Economics Faculty of the Universidad de la República (UdelaR). Since 2005, he sits as a deputy for the department of Cerro Largo in the Cámara de Representantes . In 2010 he was re-elected for a second legislative term. On May 9, 2010, he also won the election as Intendente Departamental des Departamentos, after he had been a candidate for this office in 1999 and 2004.
