Sergio Silvestris
Sergio Paolo Francesco Silvestris (born December 22, 1973 in Molfetta ) is an Italian politician of the Popolo della Libertà .
Silvestris worked for years as a journalist for the daily newspaper Gazzetta del Mezzogiorno , a news program as well as for the local press and some party newspapers. He also studied pharmacy at a university. From 1995 he was a member of the Bisceglie municipal council , from 2000 to the regional council of Apulia . He resigned both mandates in 2009 after being elected to the European Parliament .
