Serkan Cetin

Serkan Cetin (born October 3, 1973 in Düsseldorf ) is a Turkish - German bodybuilder .

Life

Serkan Cetin was born the youngest of three siblings and grew up in Ratingen, where he still lives today. Cetin started Taekwondo when she was twelve . To build muscle he did strength training, which eventually sparked his enthusiasm for bodybuilding, which he has been doing since 1988. With the exception of 1997 and 2007, he has participated in competitions every year since 1991. Before Cetin became a German citizen in 2001, he competed twice for Turkey at the European Championship and twice at the World Championship. For Germany, he competed ten times at world championships (as of 2015). With twelve World Cup participations and his five German championship titles, Cetin holds two records among German bodybuilders.

His sporting successes include:

  • 1992: 1st place newcomer championship, junior class up to 70 kg
  • 1994 and 1995: 1st place Turkish championship, class up to 80 kg
  • 1994,2001,2002,2003,2009: Overall victory at the International State Championship North Rhine-Westphalia
  • 2002: 1st place German championship, class up to 90 kg
  • 2003: 1st place German championship, class up to 80 kg
  • 2008: 1st place international German championship, class up to 80 kg
  • 2009: 5th place in the world championship in Doha , class up to 85 kg
  • 2013: 1st place German championship, class up to 90 kg
  • 2014: 1st place international German championship, class up to 90 kg

Cetin's wife is also a bodybuilder. They have a daughter together.
