The Servicio Aéreo de Rescate (English: Search and Rescue (SAR)) is the Spanish organization for the implementation of search and rescue measures in connection with aircraft and ship accidents or natural disasters, especially in Spanish territory .

Since 1955, the operations of the Ejército del Aire de España have been operated in cooperation with other security authorities and emergency organizations in accordance with international agreements. The aircraft used are operated by Spanish military pilots and crews and maintained by the Air Force.

The search and rescue service currently consists of four RCC units that are coordinated by the Centro Coordinador de Salvamento in Madrid .

At the moment, helicopters of the types Eurocopter AS 332 Super Puma and aircraft of the models CASA CN-235 , CASA C- 212-200 MP and Fokker F- 27-200 MAR are used there.
