Near the valley station: ascent over vineyards

The valley station is at the entrance to the Bopparder Mühltal above the half-timbered restaurant with a historic mill wheel on the stream. At the beginning you float over a small slope, five minutes later over slate rocks and oak forests .

The view from the lift extends south to the city of Boppard and on the right bank of the Rhine to Kamp-Bornhofen and its castles Sterrenberg and Liebenstein , the so-called hostile brothers . To the east, on the driveway, the Rhine loop lined with the slopes of the Bopparder Hamm vineyards to Spay comes into view. Filsen appears on the right bank of the Rhine in the arc of the Rhine and Osterspai to the east of it .

The mountain station is at the height in the middle of the forest.

After a five-minute walk you reach the Gedeonseck , a restaurant with a panoramic terrace from which the entire Rhine loop of Boppard can be overlooked. The area is also used as a take-off and landing point for paragliding .

The Vierseenblick is another five minutes further above. At this vantage point, the slate slopes and the Rhine bend overlap in such a way that the optically deceptive impression is created that there are four separate lakes.

Several bicycle and circular hiking trails , some of which are sections of the Rheinburgenweg , lead across the wooded heights of the Rhine to other vantage points, the Hedwigs and Engelseiche , as well as to the former monastery and today's golf course and Hotel Jakobsbergerhof . The Mittelrhein-Klettersteig runs on the slate cliffs above the Bopparder Hamm vineyard , descents to Boppard are through the vineyards and the Mühltal.

2005 was above the Ausflugsgaststätte Vierseenblick a practice area for Freeride - Mountain biking created.
