A setlist is the order of the songs to be played at a concert, as determined by a musician or a music group, as well as the written down before or after a performance. Usually such lists are placed on the stage in such a way that the musicians can easily see them; thus avoiding coordination difficulties during the performance. For some bands, the set lists of past concerts are available on the Internet; either on the official websites or on fan pages .

A special feature are set lists that correspond to the track lists of individual albums, in which the performing artist plays all the songs on an album in exactly the order in which they are arranged in the release. For example, In Flames do this occasionally . This was also the practice for a long time at Pink Floyd concerts .

The setlist is particularly important for artists such as Bob Dylan , Tori Amos , Dream Theater or Pearl Jam , of whom there are official bootlegs for many concerts. Due to the different set lists of the individual concerts, these publications remain interesting for fans.

Written original set lists can become collectibles . For example, a Bruce Springsteen setlist reached an auction price of US $ 2,569.50.
