List of rose varieties |
The floribunda rose Sexy Rexy , syn. : 'Heckenzauber' or 'MACrexy', was bred in 1984 by the New Zealand breeder Samuel Darragh McGredy and Mr. Gapp from the varieties 'Seaspray' × 'Träumerei'. The 7 cm large, bright pink and slightly fragrant flower clusters appear late, are built up like roof tiles and are reminiscent of camellia flowers. This variety grows compact and up to a height of 75 cm; with dark leaves on long stems, it is suitable as a cut flower . Since 'Sexy Rexy' is very resistant and insensitive to diseases, it requires little maintenance. It is hardy to −23 ° C ( USDA zone 6 ).
