Seymour Ginsburg

Seymour Ginsburg (born  December 12, 1927 in Brooklyn , †  December 5, 2004 ) was an American computer scientist . He was a pioneer in automata theory , formal languages and database theory in particular, and computer science in general. His work has helped to differentiate theoretical computer science from the disciplines of mathematics and electrical engineering .

In the course of his career, Ginsburg has published over 100 scientific publications and three books on various topics in computer science.
