Shōda Shinoe

Shōda Shinoe ( Japanese 正 田 篠 枝 ; * 1910 in Hiroshima ; † 1965 ) was a Japanese poet.

In 1928 she graduated from the Aki girls' school. Her works, especially the poetry of Tanka , deal thematically with the atomic bombing on Hiroshima, which affected her as Hibakusha and as a result of which she died in 1965 of the "atomic bomb disease" (breast cancer).
