Shane Cameron (* 17th October 1977 in Gisborne ) is a New Zealand boxer in the heavyweight division .
Professional career
Cameron has won several titles from the WBA , IBF and WBO boxing associations in the pan-African, pan-Asian and Asia-Pacific regions since 2004 . He also won some cruiserweight belts .
Since July 5, 2012 he has been WBO heavyweight champion in the Asia-Pacific and Oriental regions. On that day he defeated Monte Barrett somewhat surprisingly by knockout in the 4th round. Barrett, for his part, defeated David Tua a year earlier , against whom Cameron lost in Round 2 in 2009 without a chance.
