Shao Weilian (born June 11, 1939 in Shanghai ) is a Chinese artist whose main field is calligraphy .

He has been involved with calligraphy since he was four. Growing up in poor conditions, too poor to study, he has long since made a name for himself. He writes his calligraphy mainly in chancellery script (Lishu 隶书) but also in semi-italic script (Xingshu 行书), regular script (Kaishu 楷书) and grass script (Caoshu 草书).
