Sharelook is a German provider of internet portals and web directories .

history

The name Sharelook was derived from the English word share for parts and look for look. Sharelook was founded by Michael Vlatten, Joachim Baxmann and Andre Buchloh in Dortmund and started operations in August 1996. It is one of the pioneers among the German-language web directories. Today the company is based in Hamburg . In 2008, Andre Buchloh was the sole managing director of Sharelook Internet Services GmbH, Hamburg. In 2008, Sharelook Internet Communication and Marketing Beteiligungs GmbH in Dortmund had two managing directors: Andre Buchloh and Patricia Vlatten.

Over time, Sharelook developed into an Internet portal. Entries are edited editorially. The offer is supplemented by additional offers such as regional catalogs such as Sharelook Berlin or special catalogs such as Sharelook Film .

The company now operates across Europe and is financed from advertising on its pages, content licensing to third parties and, in some cases, fees for inclusion in the web directories. License partners include Lycos and Apollo7.de
