Sharon Kay Burley-Sullivan (born May 8, 1956 in Tripoli , Libya ) is a former Australian figure skater .
Burley took part in five world figure skating championships between 1972 and 1976 . In 1972 she was 19th in Calgary, Canada. A year later she was 21st in Bratislava , Czechoslovakia, 26th in 1974 in Munich , Bavaria and 25th in 1975 in Colorado Springs , Colorado. In her last World Cup participation in 1976 , she finished 22nd. In the same year she competed in the individual run at the Winter Olympics in Innsbruck, Austria , and reached 20th place.
Burley is the daughter of a US soldier and Nancy Burley , an Australian figure skater. After she was born due to her father's stationing in Libya, she moved to her mother's homeland, Australia, at the age of three weeks. Her brother Robyn Burley, was also a figure skater and Australian champion.
