The Sharp Glacier is a glacier on the Loubet Coast of Graham Land on the Antarctic Peninsula . It flows north to Lallemand Fjord , which it reaches east of the Boyle Mountains at the base of the Arrowsmith Peninsula .
The Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey mapped the area from 1948 to 1959 through survey work and aerial photography . The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it in 1960 after the American geologist Robert Phillip Sharp (1911-2004), who undertook numerous studies on glaciers and their flow behavior.
