Sheer Terror is a hardcore band from New York City , which is assigned to the subgenre New York Hardcore . Compared to other NYHC bands, Sheer Terror's music has more pronounced heavy metal influences.

history

The lineup consisted of Paul Bearer (vocals), Mark Neumann (guitar), Mike Walter (bass) and Patrick Cronin (drums). The band's first release were two songs on the Onw Big Crowd compilation from the New York label Bigy City Records. In 1998 the band broke up. In 2004 there was a reunion of the band in the legendary CBGBs in New York. A year later the band released a DVD and an audio CD with the performance. The title of the album is Beaten by the Fists of God . Sheer Terror has been active again since 2010 with a completely new lineup except for Paul Bearer.
