Mishari Raschid al-Afasi (born September 5, 1976 in Kuwait ; Arabic مشاري بن راشد بن غريب بن محمد بن راشد العفاسي المطيري, DMG Mišārī b. Rāšid b. Ġuraib b. Muḥammad b. Rāšid al-ʿAfāsī al-Muṭairī ; also Mishary Rashid Al-Afasy ) is a Kuwaiti Koran reciter and Imam of the Great Mosque in Kuwait.

Al-Afasi studied in Saudi Arabia at the Islamic University of Medina and has mastered ten readings of the Koran . Al-Afasi became known in the Islamic world through the publication and commercialization of the complete recitation of the Koran and his unmistakable voice. Al-Afasi also became popular through various naschid (Islamic chant). He now has his own Islamic satellite television station called Al-Afasy TV .

Mishary Raschid al-Afasi is married with two daughters and a son.
