Shelly Yachimovich ( Hebrew שלי יחימוביץ׳, Born March 28, 1960 in Kfar Saba ) is an Israeli journalist , author and politician from the Avoda .

Life

Yachimovich studied social sciences at Ben Gurion University in the Negev . As a journalist she worked for the Israeli television channel Channel 2 from 2000 ; she previously worked for the Israel Broadcasting Authority radio station . Yachimovich has been a member of the Knesset since 2006. In 2012 and 2013 she was an opposition leader in the Knesset . She lives in Tel Aviv and has two children.
