Shen Buhai
Shen Buhai ( Chinese 申不害 , Pinyin Shēn Bùhài , W.-G. Shen Pu-hai ; * around 385 BC ; † 337 BC ) - also Shenzi ( 申 子 ) - was a philosopher and politician from the ancient state of Zheng of the Chinese Warring States Period , whose writings are considered to be one of the founders of the doctrine of legalism . He died in the position of Chancellor of the Marquis Zhao of Han in Han State .
Shen mastered the art of political finesse to achieve a certain political goal ( Shu術). His philosophy is like that of Han Feizi of the Taoism attributed Huang-Lao school close.
A work Shenzi ( 申 子 ) is ascribed to him.
