The Shenyang Black Rhinos (. English Shenyang black rhino ; until 2017 Dalian Dragon Kings) are an Arena Football - Franchise from Shenyang . You have been playing in the China Arena Football League (CAFL) since 2016 .

history

On May 3, 2016, the CAFL announced the founding of the Dalian Dragon Kings. They played in the Dalian Superdome , which has a capacity of 18,300 spectators. They were able to achieve zero wins from five games in their first season and thus only qualify for the game for fifth place. There they met the Shenzhen Naja . The Dragon Kings lost with 30:46 and worsened their season record to zero wins to six losses.

After the season, the Najas moved from Dalian to Shenyang and renamed themselves Shenyang Black Rhinos.

Name and colors

Dalian's name comes from its roots as a small fishing village. Dalian loosely translated means "blue mud swamp". Since the city is on the Yellow Sea , the color combination of blue and yellow was chosen. Now a rapidly growing city with a large seaport, the name "Dragon Kings" was chosen, which in Chinese mythology is regarded as the divine ruler of the oceans.
