O. Carruth McGehee

Oscar Carruth McGehee (born November 29, 1939 in Baton Rouge ) is an American mathematician who deals with analysis.

McGehee studied at Rice University with a bachelor's degree in 1961 and at Yale University with a master's degree in 1963 and a doctorate with Yitzhak Katznelson in 1966 (Two Problems of Fourier Analysis on Thin Sets). He became an instructor and then an assistant professor at the University of California, Berkeley in 1965 . 1967/68 he was at the University of Paris in Orsay. In 1971 he became an associate professor and in 1979 professor at Louisiana State University .

He deals with commutative harmonic analysis, function theory and functional analysis.
