Sherry Simon

Sherry Simon is a Canadian linguist and literary scholar and translator . In 2008 she was made a member of the Royal Society of Canada .

Life and education

Sherry Simon holds a bachelor's degree with honors in comparative literature from Brandeis University . She also received her PhD in comparative literature from the Université de Montréal .

Teaching and Research

Sherry Simon has been Professor at the French Institute at Concordia University in Montreal , Canada since 1998 . She teaches French literary studies and translation studies.

She also works as a literary translator, translating from French into English and vice versa.
