The Sherwood Electronic Inc. was founded in 1953 by engineer Ed Miller and John Snow in Chicago , USA founded as a manufacturer of electronic components for the broadcasting.
history
Sherwood was originally a manufacturer of coils for FM tuners and stereo decoders. The first stereo transmission in the VHF radio network took place with Sherwood equipment. Sherwood also introduced the first computer-controlled tuner. The industry's first 100% silicon existing solid-state Receivers also obtained from Sherwood. In June 1980 Sherwood was bought by the South Korean OEM manufacturer Inkel and has been using its production facilities ever since.
Today Sherwood manufactures hi-fi and home theater receivers, CD and BluRay players and mobile speakers.
