Shesha Palihakkara

Shesha Palihakkara ( 1928 - July 12, 2009 ) was a Sri Lankan ballet dancer , actor , director and film producer .

Shesha Palihakkara became known as an acrobat in the play "Matalan". His first major feature film was in the feature film Rekava by Lester James Peries , who at the International Film Festival of Cannes 1957 was presented. He produced the films Getawarayo (1964), Sarawita and Ranmuthu Duwa (1962).

His dance was influenced by Chitrasenas, the master dancer of the Sri Lankan National Ballet; he taught numerous well-known dancers in Sri Lanka.
