Shine, My Boregarden was a funeral doom band that was active from 2007 to 2011 .

history

The post-industrial musician Igor "Darth KIA Cacophonyx" initiated Shine, My Boregarden in 2007 as one of several projects with which he experimented in different metal styles. After first self-publishing, the album Sunshine was released by Satanarsa Records in 2010 , where the debut Сибирский родник was re-released in 2014 . In the meantime, Igor "Darth KIA Cacophonyx" had stopped working for Shine, My Boregarden after the release of a split album that featured three of his projects and a single in 2011. During his activity with Shine, My Boregarden, the project received little international attention. Bertrand Marchal praised Sunshinefor Doom-Metal.com as “hypnotic” and with a “scary mood”.

style

The music played by Shine, My Boregarden is attributed to Funeral Doom. The webzine Doom-Metal.com describes the music of the project as "majestic" and draws parallels to Comatose Vigil . In contrast to these, the music played by Shine, My Boregarden is provided with less ugliness and achieves a modern sound through the extremely present use of electronic instruments. The pace is little varied. Bertrand Marchal describes the rhythm as "binary and so repetitive that it can be followed on a metronome". However, he also names the synthetic instrumentation as a unique selling point, which he interprets as a conscious decision for an artificial sound. Choirs, symphonic arrangements, cellos and more are "synthetic textures" that increase the oppressive hypnotic atmosphere.
