Shingo Annen (born October 18, 1975 in Tokyo ) is a Japanese-American rapper . He is better known by the stage name Shing02 or, more rarely, Vector Omega .

Life

Annen spent his childhood in Tanzania , Great Britain and Japan . At the age of 15 he moved with his family to Oakland , California and attended school in Berkeley . Annen began to be interested in rap music at a young age. After a few months in the local scene, he was able to establish himself as an independent rapper and songwriter. In 1996 Shingo Annen returned to Japan, where he still works with Mr. Higo of Mary Joy Recordings and produces music.

features

Typically for Annens music are often socially critical texts or texts that refer to the beauty of life or nature. In addition, he never uses obscene or insulting words in his texts, which is why Shing02 is often said to be "sophisticated" texts. Its sounds are heavily influenced by reggae , jazz and traditional Japanese music.
