Shintarō Kokubu ( Japanese 國 分 伸 太郎 , Kokubu Shintarō ; born August 31, 1994 in Okayama Prefecture ) is a Japanese football player .

Career

Shintaro Kokubu learned to play soccer in the youth team of Ōita Trinita and in the university team of Ritsumeikan University . He signed his first contract with Ōita Trinita in 2017. The club from Ōita , a port city in Ōita prefecture on the Japanese island of Kyūshū , played in the second highest league, the J2 League . At the end of 2018 he became runner-up with the club and rose to the top division. After promotion, he moved to the second division Giravanz Kitakyūshū in Kitakyūshū on loan in early 2019 . At the end of 2019, he became champions of the third division with the club and rose to the second division.
