Shire of Mareeba

The Shire of Mareeba was an administrative district in Queensland , Australia . It included the cities of Chillagoe , Dimbulah , Kuranda , Mareeba and Mount Molloy . On March 17, 2008, he went on in the Tablelands Regional Council .

history

On September 3, 1881, the Tinaroo Division was established under the Divisional Boards Act 1879 .

On December 20, 1890, part of the Tinaroo Division moved away to form the Barron Division, near Cairns .

On December 20, 1947 was Shire of Woothakata to Shire of Mareeba renamed.
