Shivering Timbers in Michigan's Adventure ( Muskegon , Michigan , USA ) is a wooden roller coaster the manufacturer Custom Coasters International , which opened the 1998th

The 1641 m long route describes a classic out & back layout and reaches a height of 37 m. The First Drop , on which the trains can reach a maximum speed of 92 km / h, has a gradient of 53 °. In addition, the route is equipped with a 30.5 m and a 29 m high hill. As a further special feature, an element called a trick track was installed. This is a transversely inclined piece of rail on a straight line, which was made famous in the 1920s by Harry Travers . A helix was also installed. The costs for the railway amounted to around 4.5 million US dollars .

In 2002 and 2004, it was ranked # 1 in the list of the best wooden roller coasters by Mitch Hawker's Internet Poll .

Trains

Shivering Timbers owns two trains made by Philadelphia Toboggan Coasters with six cars each. Four people (two rows) can be seated in each car. Individually locking lap bars and seat belts are used as restraint systems.
