Shugborough Hall

Shugborough Hall is an English country estate in Great Haywood , Staffordshire .

Until about 1540 it belonged to the bishops of Lichfield . The property is now the family seat of the Earls of Lichfield, whose ancestors bought it in 1624.

There are various buildings in the park, including a shepherd monument by Peter Scheemakers with an enigmatic inscription.
