Lists on the subject

The Si Euli is a dagger made from Nias .

description

The Si Euli has a straight, single-edged blade. The blade is the same width from the handle to the location . Only in the local area does the blade widen slightly towards the cutting edge in order to form a protrusion. The cutting edge is stepped shortly before the location, the blade then becomes narrower and forms the point worked to the point. The handle is made of wood and is bent towards the cutting edge in front of the pommel. The pommel is disc-shaped and carved in the shape of a stylized face . A metal, cylindrical clamp is attached between the blade and the handle , which is used for better fastening between the blade and the handle. The scabbards are made of wood and are decorated in the cast and carved protruding. The booklet is wrapped in rattan . The vaginal mouth is wider and protruding (see picture info box). The Si Euli is used by ethnic groups from Nias.
