The Sikin Lapan Sagu has a straight, single-edged blade. The blade is the same width from the handle to the location . The blade has neither a central ridge nor a hollow grind. The back of the blade and the cutting edge run straight to the place. The cutting edge is bent in place. The booklet is made of wood or horn and has a small, schmiedetes out from the blade Parier . The handle is bent towards the cutting edge in the pommel area, the pommel is divided and worked horn-shaped. The entire booklet is decorated with carvings . A metal, ornate ferrule is attached between the handle and the blade , which is used to better secure the handle and the blade. The sheaths are made of wood. They are flat and rounded in the local area. The mouth of the scabbard is widened and protrudes on both sides (back of the blade and cutting edge). The Sikin Lapan Sagu is used by ethnic groups from Sumatra.
