Siabuwa is a 600 m high, traditional village with about 1,000 inhabitants (2006) in the province of Matabeleland North in Zimbabwe 40 km east of Kariba reservoir.

Like Binga, 100 km away, Siabuwa belongs to the settlement area of the Tonga , who live very withdrawn and isolated. There are no lodges or hotels in their areas. Here a traveler has to bring his own tent and sleeping bag and leave a fire burning through the night to protect against wild animals. This area is extremely sparsely populated.

Siabuwa has an airstrip and has had a primary school since 2003. At present (2006) there is no petrol or diesel or any kind of bus service in this area. If you are traveling here, you should stock up adequately in Zambia beforehand . The roads here are all dirt roads. It is in the middle of the bush, and the current conditions are such that even the goats are dying.
