Sibel Horada

Sibel Horada (* 1980 in Istanbul , Turkey ) is a Turkish sculptor and installation artist .

Life

Horada comes from a Sephardic family. She attended Robert College in Istanbul from 1993 to 1998 and then went to Brown University in Providence , Rhode Island in the USA . There she completed her bachelor's degree in the performing arts in 2008 . From 2008 to 2011 she attended Yıldız Teknik Üniversitesi (YTU) in Istanbul , where she obtained a Master of Arts (MA) in art and design .

Since Horada's school and study days, her sculptures and installations have been exhibited in Istanbul, Europe and the USA. The artist is married. She lives and works in her hometown.

Prizes and awards

  • 1998: Robert College Award for Development in Art.
  • 2007: HSBC Sculpture Competition: 1st prize for their installation Peace Monument .
