Sidney H. Courtier

Sidney H. Courtier , actually Sidney Hobson Courtier , (born January 28, 1904 in Kangaroo Flat , Victoria , † 1974 in Safety Beach , Victoria) was an Australian writer.

Life

Courtier studied at the University of Melbourne a . a. Pedagogy. After successfully completing this, he got a job as a teacher and held this position throughout his life. At the age of 61 he retired in 1965 and from then on devoted himself only to writing.

During his service as a teacher, he had already written some short stories and was able to publish them. According to Courtier, Arthur W. Upfield was one of his role models and he let the events in his novels also take place in Australia.
