Siebel Systems was a provider of CRM integration solutions founded in San Mateo (California) in 1993 by entrepreneur Thomas Siebel .

The Siebel CRM solutions were based on open standards, especially XML and SOAP , and could be integrated with other applications (such as SAP ERP ). The portfolio includes permanently installed solutions, on-demand solutions as Internet services and a combination of these. Around 4,000 customers and more than 3.4 million users were reported in 2005. In the area of analytical CRM was Siebel Business Analytics Applications offered. This business intelligence application was the basis of the Oracle BI Suite Enterprise Edition .

In September 2005, Oracle announced the acquisition of the provider of customer management programs for approximately 5.8 billion dollars. In early 2006, Siebel Systems was taken over by Oracle.
