The Siebel Fh 104 " Hallore " was a civil touring aircraft made by the aircraft manufacturer Flugzeugbau Halle (later Siebel Flugzeugwerke ).
history
The model was designed as a pure touring aircraft in 1936 under the direction of Friedrich Fecher (1904–1986). At first it was still called Klemm 104, because development was started in the Halle factory by Hanns Klemm . Since Klemm had to hand over the aircraft factory in Halle with the construction department to Friedrich Siebel in December 1937 on the instructions of the Reich Aviation Ministry (RLM) (→ Siebel Flugzeugwerke ), the type was later renamed Siebel Fh 104. The first flight of the prototype with the registration D-IEHR was carried out by chief pilot Wolfgang Ziese on February 25, 1937. In August 1937, the model approval was granted by the RLM. The aircraft was a cantilever low- wing monoplane with a composite construction (metal fuselage and wooden wings ) with a retractable tail wheel landing gear . The pilot and a maximum of four passengers sat in a closed cabin. The machine, which was built in series from 1937, became one of the most popular twin-engine touring aircraft, which was also used by the greats of the regime at the time, such as Generals Udet or Kesselring . In addition, various flight competitions such as the European circuit and the international air races in Frankfurt am Main in 1938 and 1939 were successfully completed with the aircraft. By the end of production in March 1941, around 50 machines had been built.
