The so-called seven chosen ones ( Tib. སད་ མི་ མི་ བདུན ; Wylie : sad mi mi bdun "seven chosen ones"; English seven men who were tested and others) are the first seven monks in Tibet, those of Shantarakshita in the newly founded Samye Monastery were ordained. The names appear in very different translations.
