Seven mice need clothes ( Danish Tøj til syv små mus) is a picture book by the Danish psychologist and children's book author Grete Janus Hertz (1915–2002), first published in 1969 in Danish and German by Carlsen Verlag . Similar to other popular children's books (e.g. The Very Hungry Caterpillar ), it has a repetitive character, which children often appreciate very much. The children's book is suitable for children between the ages of two and four. The illustrations are from Iben Clante .

The mother of a seven-headed flock of mice sets out to get their children the right winter clothes so that they can run around in the snow. She meets a tailor , a weaver , a spinner and a shepherd in order to show off the snowsuits. With the support of other animals, she finally succeeds in making the clothes she needs for her seven children.
