Seven Rila Lakes

The Seven Rila Lakes ( Bulgarian Седем рилски езера , Sedem rilski ezera) are located in the northwestern part of the Rila Mountains in Bulgaria . They are the most visited lakes in Bulgaria. The lakes are at an altitude of 2100 to 2500 meters.

Every lake has a name that is identified by certain characteristics.

The Seven Rila Lakes are listed among the 100 National Tourist Objects of Bulgaria created by the Bulgarian Tourist Association .
