Siegfried IV. (Lebenau)

Siegfried IV. († December 17, 1210 ), also known as Siegfried V due to the count in his house , came from the side branch of the Counts of Lebenau of the Spanheim family . After the death of his father Otto I. von Lebenau he followed him as Count von Lebenau and as Vogt of the Salzburg Cathedral Monastery and the monasteries of St. Emmeram and Seeon .

Live and act

Not much is known about Siegfried's life; it can only be documented for a few years.

Siegfried IV was the oldest son of Otto I von Lebenau and his first wife Eufemia von Dornberg.

After his father's death in 1205, he followed him as Count von Lebenau.

In April 1209 he was in Landshut in the wake of the Bavarian Duke Ludwig I.

One year later, on December 17, 1210, Siegfried IV died. Since he had no children, his younger brother Bernhard I followed him as Count von Lebenau.
