Siegfried von Brilon

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Siegfried von Brilon (* before 1334 in Brilon ; † after 1353 ibid) was a knight in Brilon.

He was the son of Swicker von Brilon and had his seat in Altenbrilon . It was mentioned in documents from 1334, 1335, and 1341. Siegfried von Brilon was enfeoffed from the nobleman Simon zur Lippe with the tithe to Wersinghusen am Frettholze. This lending was repeated in 1353. In the same year he received from Count Otto XIII. from Everstein the tithe to Rösenbeck , a farm in Bokenscheide and goods in Rattlar for fief. In various other documents he is mentioned as a witness, named as Mr. Ziverd van Brilon, an acquired knight and also Her Syfreyd van Brilon Ridder . The family died out with Hartmann von Brilon, who was presumably a son of Siegfried.
