The Neue Berner Zeitung was a Swiss daily newspaper from the canton of Bern , which appeared from 1919 to 1973.

The Neue Berner Zeitung was founded on August 25, 1919 as the press organ of the Bernese farmers 'and citizens' party . From 1921 the newspaper appeared as the official organ of the farmers, trade and citizens' party . From 1934 to 1936 it was subtitled as the National People's Party of Switzerland . On January 31, 1973 the newspaper was discontinued due to major deficits with a circulation of about 6,500 copies.

The Neue Berner Zeitung is part of the history of Espace Media .
