Sieghard Wilhelm

Sieghard Wilhelm (born November 1, 1947 in Bad Bevensen ) is a German politician (The Greens). From 1989 to 1990 he was a member of the Lower Saxony state parliament.

Wilhelm attended secondary school in Stoetze and in the district town of Uelzen, where he also attended the commercial school and completed an apprenticeship as a retail salesman. Since May 1969 he was an insurance clerk in Wolfsburg. From 1973 he was a member of the works council. In the early 1970s, he began working for the trade, banking and insurance union. For a time he was on the DGB district executive. He began to get involved in the Wolfsburg working group against atomic energy and in the local peace group and in 1981 became a member of the Green Party. From 1987 to 1989 he was on the state executive committee of Lower Saxony. From 1981 to 1986 he was a member of the Wolfsburg City Council, where his main focus was on finance and construction policy, environmental and sports policy, and personnel policy. In the eleventh electoral term he was a member of the Lower Saxony state parliament from July 6, 1989 to June 20, 1990. During this time he was deputy chairman of the parliamentary group.
