Joachim Wiesensee

Joachim Wiesensee (born June 8, 1935 in Schladen ; † August 27, 2009 in Elsfleth ) was a German politician ( CDU ). From 1986 to 2003 he was a member of the Lower Saxony state parliament .

Wiesensee attended elementary school in Gardelegen until 1945. Then he went to school in Pilsenbrück in the Wolfenbüttel district. From 1950 to 1953 he did an apprenticeship as a post boyand worked in the postal service until 1957. In addition to his job, he attended a one-year commercial school. From 1958 to 1959 he did a second apprenticeship in business and tax consulting in Braunschweig. Since 1964 he has worked as an independent tax agent. In 1972 he joined the CDU. From 1974 he worked as a tax advisor in Elsfleth. He was also a member of the Elsfleth City Council from 1974, of which he was a member until his death. He was also honorary mayor of Elsfleth from 1996 to 1999. He was a member of the Lower Saxony state parliament from 1986 to 2003. In the state parliament he was spokesman for the CDU parliamentary group for ports and shipping as well as for university policy. He also headed the state parliament's budget committee for nine years. On June 23, 2009 he was given honorary citizenship of the city of Elsfleth.
