from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

As Lex Siemens (Siemens-law) two special economic laws are referred to colloquially.

  • in Russia the draft law "on the mode for foreign investments in business areas that are of strategic importance for the national security of the Russian Federation", which is supposed to put the takeover of the Russian company Power Machines by Siemens , which was prevented by the Russian cartel office in 2005, on a full legal basis.
  • In Germany , the nuclear law amendment introduced in 1997 by the then Federal Environment Minister Angela Merkel , which provides for location-independent approval tests for nuclear reactors and was criticized as an alleged export aid for the EPR reactor type built by Siemens .
